Caolán Ward is a half-decent Gaelic footballer turned content creator. The past year and a half has seen him go from posting a story twice a year to 80k+ followers across platforms and being titled the Highly Commended Sports Creator of the Year from TikTok UK & Ireland.
His content typically consists of his pursuit of sporting efforts, general life, and the occasional unnecessarily difficult challenge – showing the good, bad, and random along the way. Alongside his own videos, Caolán also coaches businesses on the art of short form video creation with authenticity and human connection at the core.
Despite a distinct overuse of self-deprecation, he’s worked with a range of brands, businesses, and community groups, and is constantly looking for new ways to mix together activity, achievement and fun, and generally prove his hypothesis that you can achieve some pretty serious things without a big serious head.
He describes himself as “half decent” at what he does – which is probably accurate – but brands and audiences keep coming back, so he must be doing something right.
